Edward was born on July 28,1923, in Waco, Texas. He attended Waco High School and enjoyed playing the flute in the band and Waco Symphony Orchestra and won many state titles. After graduation from high school he attended Texas A&M University and played in The Fighting Texas Aggie Band until World War 2 when Edward enlisted in the U. S. Army. He was a Gunnery Sergeant and after the end of the war, Edward returned to Waco and went to work for the US Postal Service. He married the love of his life, Margaret Ann Mason, on February 17, 1950 at Central Presbyterian Church, where they became members. They later joined First United Methodist Church in 1978 and were active members of The Odell Dudley Sunday School Class and their share group. Edward retired from the post office in 1988 and he and Margaret enjoyed traveling and social activities with their family and church family. Edward loved to watch sports and was an avid supporter of Baylor athletics, especially Lady Bears basketball. Edward's wit, sense of humor, and kindness was experienced by all that knew him and will be greatly missed. However, there is joy in knowing he is with Margaret again in Heaven.
