Edwin Smith

Edwin B. Smith 90 of Waco, passed away Friday, January 17, 2003, in Waco.

SERVICES
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, at Rosemond Cemetery in Waco with the Rev. Joe Ruffin, pastor of the Youngblood Memorial Presbyterian Church of Robinson, officiating. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Friends may come by the funeral home after 12:00 noon Sunday to pay respects.

PERSONAL LIFE
Mr. Smith was born July 22, 1912 to James and Dora Smith in Louisburg, North Carolina. He was married May 20, 1936 in Streator, Illinois, to Evelyn V. (Green) Smith, who preceded him in death on November 21, 2002. They lived in Waco for over 50 years.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER
He graduated from North Carolina State as a Ceramic Engineer and worked for Owens Illinois Glass Plant from 1935 to 1974. He was an Elder of Youngblood Memorial Presbyterian Church in Robinson, TX.

SURVIVORS
His survivors include two sons, David B. Smith and his wife Deborah of Fort Worth and Lawrence W. Smith of Houston; a daughter, Diane Smith-Ellert of Houston; and a sister, Ethel Harutun of Palm Springs, California; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
