Elbert Lee Weathers, 91, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015. The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
Elbert Lee Weathers was born December 23, 1923 to Mark Weathers Jr. and Janie Williamson Weathers in Lott, TX. He was an electrician for the United States Navy and a Baylor University graduate. Elbert married Olive Adelia “Dee” Guiles and they spent 60 years together. Elbert was a member of his local VFW, American Legion, and Disabled Veterans Organization. He enjoyed playing cards and collecting knifes. Elbert will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dee Weathers.
He is survived by his son, Mark Weathers and wife, Joan; daughter, Paula and husband, Larry Schneider; grandchildren, Randy Dworaczyk and wife, Stacy, Robert Weathers, Lisa Weathers, Amanda Contreras, William Cassidy Johnson, Jessica Lynn Johnson; and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give Special Thanks to the doctors and staff of Providence Hospice at St. Catherine’s.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the local Veterans Organization of your choice.
