Elfreda Kroll Pierce, 84, of Waco, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Shaffer officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery of Waco, Texas.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video will be shown during visitation.
Elfreda was born September 17, 1922 in Otto. She met her husband Charles Wallace "CW" Pierce in Waco, and they married in February 1942.
During WW II, Elfreda worked in an ammunitions plant while her husband fought overseas.
When CW returned from the war, he began working for William Cameron Co. and Elfreda worked various jobs spanning from butcher to small business owner.
Her last job was at St. Regis Retirement Center where she faithfully served residents and staff for 18 years. She was a great fan of big band music, and that helped influence her sons to all become musicians.
Elfreda was preceded by her husband in death on December 20, 1975.
She leaves three sons: Jerry Wayne Pierce and wife, Jan of Shawnee, KS; Charles William Pierce and wife, Debbie of McGregor; and John Carlton Pierce and wife, Michelle of Waco; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Josephine Nagy of Houston.
