Eligio (Lee) Vega Suarez
December 1, 1947 to August 17, 2007
Eligio (Lee) Vega Suarez, 59, of Waco, died Friday, Aug. 17, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 10 am at Oakwood Cemetery with Deacon Butch Prewitt officiating.
The rosary will be recited at 7 pm Monday, Aug. 20, at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Mr. Suarez was born in Eddy on December 1, 1947. He was a cook in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 121.
He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio Ybarra Suarez and his mother, Melquiades Vega; one son, Santiago Garcia, and a brother, Enerst Suarez.
Mr. Suarez was a forklift operator at Texas Prestressed Concrete in Elm Mott.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Suarez; sons, Francisco Suarez and Vanessa Fuentes, Tony Suarez and wife, Betsy, Richard Garcia and John Garcia, both of Waco; one daughter, Betty Perez and Arnulfo; one sister, Celia Suarez; brothers, Emilio Suarez of Waco, Antonio Suarez and Fernando Suarez of Temple; 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Gonzales, George Suarez, Matthew Gonzales, Richard Garcia, Tony Suarez, Matthew Leyo and Joe Leyo, Jr.
