Elizabeth (Betty) L. Seawright of Waco, passed away on July 23, 2021. A funeral mass will be held on Friday,
September 3 at 10:00 a.m. Private burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Waco. A Rosary Service led by Dr. Jim Moshinskie will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

Elizabeth was born April 20, 1932 in Westphalia, Texas to John Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Moeller) Beach. She and A.B. (Boyd) Seawright were married March 30, 1957. He preceded her in death February, 14, 1989. She also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Elizabeth Charmain in late 1957, father and mother – John and Mary Elizabeth Beach. Sisters: Patricia (Pat) Henry, Helen Tobias, Lucille Frazier and Mildred Frazier.

Betty is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Seawright was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was employed with The Perry Company for over 50 years from 1960 to 1997 and came out of retirement to work part time again from 2002 to 2018. Her large national group of farm implement clients looked forward to talking with her by phone to place their orders and asked for her by name. Betty was the repository of all the historical knowledge of The Perry Company’s wide array of retired farm equipment models, helping customers find parts as long as they were available.

Elizabeth was a wonderful homemaker and cook, bringing birthday cakes to just about everyone around her and keeping the neighbors and family stocked with jams and jellies. Certainly no one went hungry and she never met a stranger.

She loved to garden, decorate seasonally and had a great love of animals, saving many strays and taking food to others. She boogied around town in her Mazda, driving, working and living independently until 2019. We love you and will miss you, Aunt Betty! She loved to attend the Westphalia Annual Picnic every year.

For 20 years she was a faithful member of the original Kim's Drive In Hamburger Club which met every Friday for food and fellowship.

Memorials may be made to: Waco Humane Society Animal Shelter, 2032 Circle Road, Waco, TX 76706 or one’s choice.
