Elizabeth (Betty) Campbell Cash, 83, went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2014. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 15, at 10 a.m. at the OakCrest Funeral Home, with Rev. Chris Wommack officiating and Gary Rhodes will serve as cantor. Burial will follow at Stanford Chapel Cemetery on Chapel Road. Visitation will be . Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, July 14, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Elizabeth was born on July 13, 1931 in Uvalde, Texas to Wesley and Lillie Campbell. She had a love of music and began playing the piano at an early age. After graduating from Uvalde High School in 1948, she attended Baylor University where she graduated with two majors and two minors. While at Baylor, she met the love of her life, Jack Robert Cash. They were married at the First Baptist Church, Uvalde, on August 1, 1952.

In addition to taking care of her family, she taught English and Spanish and worked as a librarian in several school districts. She also worked faithfully in her church as a pastor’s wife and a number of church-related ministries. In addition to her love of God and people, she could hold her own in a game of dominoes or any other card game.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, a sister, Nathalie Patton of Uvalde; three children, Jack Robert Cash, Jr. of Waco; Wesley Campbell Cash and wife, Julie, of Waco, and Ginger Cash Etcheson and husband, Steve, of Mahomet, Illinois. She was Mimi to her grandchildren, Andy Cash, Ben Cash, Jennifer Huffman and husband, John. Her great-grandchildren, A.J., Hannah, Coby, and Guerlin Huffman of Burleson brought her great joy.

Pallbearers will be Andy Cash, Ben Cash, Jimmy Fullbright, John Huffman, A.J. Huffman, and Dave Hughes.

The family would like to thank Mariea and Jimmy Fullbright for the special care they gave Betty for several years in their home.
