Emmet Marquez Gayton, 77, passed away August 13, 2015. Mass will be 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Dennis Maglasange with burial at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home with the rosary at 7 p.m.

Mr. Gayton was born in Waco to Severo Gayton and Isabell Marquez Gayton. He was married to Lucy Gomez in Waco. He was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, served in the Army and National Guard, and worked for Owens-Illinois many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Sammy Gayton Sr.; brothers, Larry and Albert Gayton; and sister, Victoria Gayton.

Mr. Gayton is survived by his wife, Lucy; daughter, Misty Gayton; sons, Adam Gayton Sr. and wife, Barbara, Rayes Lopez and wife, Debby, Robert Gayton, and Danny Gayton; sister, Candy Mata; 23 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren.
