Erminia Gutierrez

Erminia Gutierrez, 75, of Waco passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at Bible Way Church, 2800 Gurley, on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Her life will be celebrated with a Christian service at Oakcrest Funeral Home on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.
Erminia was born in Frio County on April 12, 1937, to Clemente and Melquiades Sanchez. On March 17, 1962, she married Moses Gutierrez and moved to Waco. She was devoted to her church, Tabernacle of Faith Center, and to her family. She was a homemaker, cared for her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. We, as her children, enjoyed and will miss the special birthday dinners that she would prepare for each of us.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 39 years, and her brother Willie Sanchez.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Irene Gutierrez, Rebecca and Benjamin Resendez, Carlos Gutierrez, Rita and Rory Naida, Ruben and Patricia Gutierrez, Noah and Deborah Gutierrez. Her grandchildren Carlos Jr., Jeremy, and Anyssa Gutierrez, Larissa and Jeremiah, Jeremiah Jr., and Nathaniel Trejo, Briana Moreno, Benjamin, Megan, and Emily Gutierrez, Mandy Resendez, Kristy and Julian, Julian Jr., Emily, and Khloe Monrial, and Jason Garcia. She is also survived by sisters Dora Carrizales, Alicia and Juan Guevara, Soila and Joe Trevino, and brothers Saragosa and Louisa Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez, Luis Sanchez, and Clemente Sanchez Jr. Sisters and brothers in-law Vickie and Isaias Resendez, Pete and Ollie Gutierrez, Frank and Nancy Gutierrez, Mary Resendez, Lydia Gutierrez, Marcie Lopez and many nieces and nephews. She will also be very missed by her beloved pets Wendi, Brook, Koda, Shae and Bruce.
Pallbearers will be Rory Naida, Charles Vanek, Benjamin Resendez, Jeremiah Trejo, Jason Garcia, and Julian Rios Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
