Erminia Sardaneta Ortiz, 64, passed away July 1, 2009.
Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
Rosary will be 7 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Erminia was a pre-school teacher at E.O.A.C. for 14 years before retiring in 1993. She married Jesse Ortiz August 2, 1969 in Waco. She was a devoted mother, and grandmother who loved to cook and care for her family, and was always helping anyone in need.
She is survived by husband, Jesse; sons, Adam Ortiz and wife, Candice, and David Ortiz and Jessica Dominguez; daughters, Melissa Torres and husband, Mark, and Elainna Ortiz; brother, Ben Sardaneta; sisters, Gloria Martinez, and Concha Loredo and husband, Emilo; and 13 grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Richard Rios, Alberto and Jesse Sardeneta, Arturo and Sammy Melendez, Ernesto Loredo.
The family thanks Scott & White Cancer Center for their loving care.
