Ernest G. Cooper, 81, of Waco passed away Friday. Services will be private.
Ernest was born in Wynona, Oklahoma to Sheridan Cooper and Mary Faun Benson Cooper. Ernest graduated from Shidler High School in Shidler, Oklahoma in 1947. He married Dorothy Joan Hillman October 8, 1949 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a WWII Coast Guard Veteran, and retired a Senior Project Surveyor for Phillips Petroleum.
He was preceded in death by grandchildren Jeri Darlene Norman and Timothy Eugene Frame.
Ernest is survived by his wife Dorothy; a son Bruce Alan Cooper and wife Diana of Midland; daughters Mary Darlene Frame and husband Jerry of Leakey, Sandi Irene Henley and husband Eric Arnold of Hewitt; sister Mary Lyke and husband Sam; brother Donald Cooper and wife Martha; 5 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
