Ernest Neckar

Ernest Henry Neckar, 89, of Lorena, Texas passed away on Monday, December 5th, 2022. Mr. Neckar was born in Elk, Texas, on October 11, 1933 to Steve and Mary (Slovak).

He Attended and graduated from schools in Eddy, Texas. On December 9, 1955 he enlisted in the U S Navy, and was Honorably discharged on September 18, 1957.

He married the love of his life, Mary Evelyn Bethke in Waco, Texas on June 4, 1960, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, a marriage that has lasted 62 wonderful years.

He was employed by Greyhound Bus Lines for 26 years, Brother Neckar was an active member of the 3th Degree and a Sir Knight of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Michele Elizabeth Neckar.

Sir Knight Neckar is survived by his loving wife, Mary; daughter, Melissa Neckar McRoberts and husband, Andrew Jackson, of Dallas, Texas; son, Ernest Michael Neckar and wife, Janice Elizabeth, of Lorena, Texas; grandchildren, Hailey Michele Neckar, of Bryan, Texas, Lane Wyatt Neckar, of College Station, Texas, and Andrew Jackson McRoberts VI, of Dallas, Texas.
