Euel E. White, 79, of Lorena, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at St. Catherine's Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, December 29, at the OakCrest Funeral Home chapel followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video honoring his life will be shown during the visitation.
Euel was born September 25, 1927 in St. Augustine County to Ranold and Amy (Gore) White.
He proudly served in the U.S. Naval Air Force during World War II and Army Air Force in the Korean Conflict. He was a switchman for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 37 years before retiring August 12, 1988. He was a member of the Railroad United Transportation Union.
He was married January 26, 1985 to Louise (Walter) White at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Walter, brother of the bride.
He was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings; his first wife Iva B. White; step-son, James Melton; and a step granddaughter, Julia.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; daughter-in-law, Melanie A. Melton; two step granddaughters, Jessica R. Melton Scott and Kelly Melton; three step grandsons, Nathan Melton, Bobby Jones of Heath, and Doug Jones of Lorena, and numerous nieces and nephews.
