Eugenie Heppell

Eugenie (Nini) Heppell, 64, of Hewitt, passed away late Saturday night, March 22, 2003, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2003, at the OakCrest Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Killeen Memorial Park.

The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque, followed by a visitation with the family. A memorial videotape celebrating her life will be shown during the visitation.

Eugenie was born June 7, 1938 in Canada. She married her husband, Marc A. Heppell, in Canada in 1965. He preceded her in death in 1992.

Eugenie dedicated her life to taking care of others as a Scott & White nurse for 21 years. She worked at the hospital in Temple for many years, and at the time of her retirement in 1997, she was with the Scott & White Clinic in Killeen.

After her retirement she was active with the Scott & White Pioneers, and enjoyed traveling with that group. Eugenie was a proud grandmother, and she enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren. She attended St. Jerome Catholic Church in Hewitt.

She is survived by two sons, Francois Heppell of Hewitt and Mark Heppell and his wife Andi of Hewitt, and their two sons, Jacob and Jackson; and five brothers and four sisters.
