OBITUARY

Evelyn Joyce Young of Crawford, 71, passed away in her sleep at her home on Wednesday, August 25, 2004, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel with Ed James and Jim Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Waco, Texas.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.
Joyce was born to Bard and Inis (Bentley) Anderson on October 23, 1932, at the family farm near Sanger, Texas.
She married Grover Dean Young, her husband of 54 years, on June 14, 1950 in Gainesville, Texas. They moved to the Waco area in 1979.
She was a homemaker all of her life. Her interests included sewing, piecing, quilting, gardening, and traveling throughout the United States.
She was a faithful member of the Crestview Church of Christ in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Edith Bolin of Pilot Point, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Grover; two sons, Andy L. Young of Killeen and Anthony L. Young and his wife Marjorie of Denison; five grandchildren and two great grandsons; and her brother, Bentley Anderson of Comanche.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
