Ezra, 37 years old, was born in Potsdam, NY and moved with his family to Hewitt, Texas in 1990. He was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of Midway High School in 2002, and received his BA from Baylor in 2008.
Pursuing his interest in philosophy, he earned a PhD at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois in 2018. During the Covid Pandemic he returned home to live with his parents in Hewitt while working remotely as a data scientist for Enhance IT of Atlanta, Georgia. He was especially proud of recent projects working under contract for Amgen Pharmaceuticals and for Cushman and Wakefield, and of the volunteer work he was doing as a data scientist for Bluebonnet Data, a Texas based organization committed to supporting the political campaigns of Democratic Candidates at all levels of government in all parts of the country.
Ezra died unexpectedly in his parent’s home on the evening of August 25. He is survived by his father, Garrett Cook; his mother, Lori Cook; his sister, Amy Cook; and his nephew, Alexander Cook.
We are all very proud of him, sharing in the joy of his recent accomplishments.
