Faustino Mendez
Faustino Mendez, Sr., 75, went to be with the Lord Tuesday in a San Antonio hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Carbajal officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Faustino was born in Gonzales County to Frank and Juana Mendez, and was retired. He was loved by his family, and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Juanita Casarez Mendez; and grandson, Mario Vincent Yglecias.
He is survived by his children, Alicia Mendez, Tino Mendez Jr., Margaret Mendez, Mary Jane Mendez, all of Waco; grandchildren, Frank, Bethaney, Melinda, Erick, Neftalie, Alexis, Rosie, Luis, Juanita; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
