Faye Rangel Ortiz, 84, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 in a local hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with Father Irudayaraj Thomas as celebrant. Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery.

Visitation will start at 5 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. The rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. by Father Thomas.

Faye was born in Dallas to Domingo and Maria (Fausto) Ortiz. She was affectionately known as "Momo" to all. Momo was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was a longtime faithful member of Saint Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Waco, Texas. She was a friend to all. A special thanks to her good friend Gracie, nieces and nephews, Providence Hospice, family and friends. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. We love you Momo!

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Victoriano "Victor" Ortiz, in 2007.

She leaves two sons, Victoriano A. Ortiz and Domingo Steve Ortiz and his wife, Kelly Sanders; four grandchildren, Michelle Ortiz, Melissia Ortiz and her fianc? Eli Ross, Justus Ortiz and Anna Grace Ortiz; a great-grandchild, Jordan Ortiz; and a sister, Frances Mary Rangel of Waco.
