Faye Tijerina

Faye Louise Killian Tijerina was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She left this world on July 31, 2023 after a long illness at age 73. She faced her final, difficult days on earth with courage and a smile for her loved ones. Her kind and loving heart left a beacon of light for all her family and friends to remember and cherish her by.

Faye was born to James and Helen Killian on October 2, 1949 in Commerce, Texas. Her dream was always to become a mother and with her marriage to her husband, Richard Tijerina, she realized that dream with the births of their two daughters Summar the oldest child and then Maranda. She considered her amazing daughters as the highest achievement of her life.

Faye loved to sew and do handcrafts. She was very good at it. She also delighted in babysitting children for friends and often stayed in touch with them even into adulthood, continuing to bestow her love and support. She also enjoyed interacting with friends and family on Facebook. She is so loved and will be greatly missed.

Faye is survived by her husband of 44 years, Richard Tijerina. Her daughters, Summar Tijerina and Maranda Bradley and son-in-law, Ehren Bradley. Her mother, Helen Killian. Her three siblings, Linda Killian, James Killian, and Doug Killian. Along with several nieces, nephews, brother in laws, sister in laws, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, James Kelly Killian and her in laws, Marcelino and Beatriz Tijerina.
