Ferne Lee Sneath, mother of Waco resident, Robbie Echols, passed away Monday, August 1, 2005 in Waco, Texas at the age of 87 years. Graveside services will be 10 am on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, with family friend and minister of music Barry Owens officiating. A memorial service in Odessa, Texas will follow. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Born in Cisco, Texas on January 7, 1918, she attended schools in Eastland, Texas and later moved to Odessa, where she resided with her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, R.A. Sneath.
She is survived by her husband, R. A. Sneath, of Odessa; sister Kitty Norris and her husband, Archie of San Antonio; brother, Robert Frost and his wife, Elaine, of St. Louis, Missouri; daughter Robbie Echols and her husband, Daryle, of Waco, Texas; son, Lee Sneath and his wife, Pam, of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Eric and Ashley Echols, living in Waco, Texas; and grandchild, Alison Gionis, living in Florida.
