Finis Rayburn Dudley

Finis Rayburn Dudley, 76, of Waco, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at a local hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Finis was born in Penelope to Jessa and Goldie (King) Dudley, and attended Waco schools. He served faithfully as a Waco fireman for many years, retiring as a Captain.
He will be especially remembered by his family for his joketelling. Finis loved sign language and was able to communicate well with his hearing impaired family and friends through the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby, who passed away in 2005; sisters, Goldie Prundt and Joyce Dudley; and his brother, Jess Dudley.
Finis leaves two daughters, Pam Emerson and husband, Scott of Austin, and Linda Standley and husband, Ron, of Madisonville; two step-daughters, Jo Rountree and husband, Gordon Jr. of Cedar Springs, and Darlene Steele and husband, Curtis of Mt. Calm; brother, Horton Dudley and wife, Peggy; grandchildren, Jason Pruett and wife, Kelle, Brandie Black and husband, Ron, Nick Standley and wife, Georgina, Travis Neumann and wife, Kathleen, Trent Neumann and wife, Jennifer, Curtis Steele and wife, Candie, Jamie Steele, Scott Rountree and wife, Sharon, and Ross Rountree and wife, Jennifer; and several great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason Pruett, Nick Standley, Curtis Steele, Jamie Steele, Travis Neumann, and Trent Neumann.
