Fleeta Mae Collier, 87, departed this world to claim a new body with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 6, 2005.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Oakwood Cemetery in Waco with the Rev. George Brock officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.
Fleeta was born in Waco to Leona Rebecca and Enos Lee Brock on October 16, 1918, and lived most of her life in Waco. She was a member of Kendrick Lane Baptist Church. She moved to Jacksonville, Ark. 13 years ago to be near her daughter's family. She lived five of those years at the Jacksonville Towers and the last three years at Woodland Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ollie Lee Brock and James Franklin Brock; her husband, David C. Collier, and her son, Davis Lee Collier.
She is survived by her daughters, Carole Burke and husband, James of Jacksonville, Ark., and Lana Cresse and husband, Lloyd of Lorena; and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Collier of Gholson. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dawn Wheeler of Flower Mound, Davis Collier of Naples, Fla., Michael Burke of Jacksonville, Ark., Johnny Barnhart of Cabot, Ark., Djuana Payton of St. Hedwig, Tex., Renee' Woolf of Waco, Darren Collier of Waco, and Larry Plaa of Gholson. She had 14 great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her greatly.
