Flora Dell (Flo) Nixon, 97, of Woodway passed away peacefully on May 30, 2022. Services will be at Waco Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 1st at 10:00 a.m. Visitation with her family will follow the service.

Flo was born on November 11, 1924 in Corpus Christi to George and Norma Toliver. She was a homemaker and worked in food service at the Midway ISD schools.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Nettie Wheat. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Captain William Potter, Jr. who died in 1959 and by her beloved husband, James Marvin Nixon to whom she was married from 1963 until his death in 2005.

Survivors include her three daughters, Sue (Robert) Johnson, Carol (Ted) Billingsley, Connie (Jim) Johnson – grandchildren, Melanie (Coy) Hill, Julie (David) Everett, Bo (Eleeza) Johnson – great-grandchildren, Colby Burton, Ryan Richards, Lane Hill, Logan Hill, Alexis Everett, Caitlynn Everett, Berkeley Everett, Mia Johnson and Lake Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Bo Johnson, Colby Burton, Ryan Richards, Lane Hill and Logan Hill.
