Frances Collier Hulme Avant passed Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in Waco. Services will be
3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at the Linden United Methodist Church in Linden, Texzas with Rev. James McMillan officiating. Burial will follow in Linden Cemetery.

Frances was born in Marshall, TX to C.J. and Frances Collier. She graduated from Baylor University in 1942 with a Bachelor of Business Degree where she met Fred Hulme, Sr.
They married in Corpus Christi at the naval base. After Fred’s death she celebrated 30 years of marriage with Robert Avant.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Fred Hulme; and her brother, Frank Collier.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Avant; children, David Hulme and wife, Dianne,
Fred Hulme and wife, Carolyn, and Carolyn Hulme Monroe; step-sons, Robert Avant, Jr.
and wife, Sharon and Davis Avant; She had five grandchildren, Kristi, Keri, Emily, Casey, and Chase; and two great-granddaughters, Kandle and Kassidy.
