November 27, 1929 – February 19, 2008

Frances Marie Ewing, 78, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Regent Care Nursing Home.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Father Irudayaraj Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque.

Frances was born November 27, 1929 in Waco to Johnnie and Alma (Engbrock) Fuchs. She attended Sacred Heart Academy, and graduated from Waco High School in 1947.

She married Richard N. Ewing in Waco on November 6, 1949. She retired from Frank Weaver Pontiac in 1994. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church.

She was a warm, generous person who was devoted to her family, and especially loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Johnnie B. Fuchs.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Ewing; her son, Ron Ewing and wife, Debbie of Waco; her daughter, Pam Burns of Carrollton; her brother, Edward P. Fuchs and wife, Delores of North Richland Hills; her sister, Rosalie Griffin of Waco; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Ewing and wife Megan, Justin and Kyle Burns, and Shannon Bowers and husband Nathan; and several nieces and nephews.

Her grandchildren and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family gratefully thanks the staffs of Regent Care and Vista Care Hospice for taking excellent care of our wife and mother during this time.
