Frances (Fran) Marie Grieve , age 68, of Prairie Hill, formerly of Waco, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at her residence.

Services
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 2, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Father Irudayaraj Nelapatti-Thomas as celebrant.

Burial will follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 5th Street and LaSalle Avenue, Waco, Texas.

Rosary Service
The Rosary Service will be 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.

Her Life Story
Fran was born May 21, 1940 in Howell, MI, to F. Guy and Agnes Marie (Yax) Grieve. She worked as a warehouse clerk for Owens-Illinois for over 30 years before retiring.

She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waco where she faithfully participated in the St. Mary's Women's Guild and was an active member of the Bereavement Committee. She was active in Pro-Life Waco.

Helping Youth
She had a great love for youth, and volunteered for any activity that involved helping the youth in the church.

She eagerly participated in fundraising activities to send youth to The Pines Catholic Youth Camp.

She also bred AKC registered dogs.

Those Who Preceded Her in Death
Fran was preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Staff Sgt. USMC Lawrence Howard Grieve 1st.

Her Family
Fran is survived by a daughter, Roselyn Galbreath and her fiancé, Mike Kerr of Zimmermen, MN.; six grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Grieve and wife, Shirley of Mason, MI, John Grieve of South Lyon, MI, and Gerald Grieve and wife, Monica of Alden, MI; a sister, Katherine Hagyard and husband, Col. Warren Hagyard of Pioneer, CA; aunt, Dorothy Lott and husband, Maj. Bradley Lott of Pensacola, FL; uncle Donald Yax and wife Betty of Howell, MI. and 12 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers
Pallbearers will be Don Yarbrough, Roger Mann, Fred Aleman, Jim Shannon, John Grieve, and Justin Jones.
