Frances Elizabeth "Betsy" Harling, 97, of Waco, formerly of Austin, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Waco. Graveside services will be 10 am Monday at North Belton Cemetery, 1500 N. Main St., Belton. There will be no visitation.

Miss Harling was born on August 17, 1916 I to Clarence Eldred Harling and Josie Selena Smith Harling. She was employed as a supervisor for the Department of Public Safety in Austin, Texas, from 1936 until 1978. She was a long time member of Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin. Betsy loved life and really enjoyed family gatherings. She was fortunate to have experienced many wonderful trips during her lifetime.

For many years, Betsy was loved and cared for daily by her cousin, Dorothy O'Malley, who preceded her in death earlier this year. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Eldred Harling. She is survived by numerous cousins who loved her and will miss her dearly.

Special thanks to Sharon Hammonds and the staff at St. Catherine's Hospice Unit for their love and devotion taking care of Betsy in her last days. They were a true blessing to Betsy and our family.
