Frances Ledbetter

Frances L. Ledbetter, 78, of Waco, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2007 at her residence. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 30, at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Linda Wimberley officiating. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video honoring her life will be shown during the visitation.



Frances was born on April 26, 1928, in Paris, Texas to Orb and Opal Wiegand. She had one younger brother, Choice Dee Wiegand. In 1934, Frances moved to Waco with her mother and brother. She attended Waco High School and graduated in May 1946. During high school, Frances met her only love and true soul mate, Wilfred Raymond Ledbetter. They married on August 16, 1946, and had four beautiful children.



Frances was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was part of a group of twelve girls that became friends in grade school and continued their friendship throughout their school years until the present day. Their group, "the Gossip Club," would meet several times each year, their most recent reunion in November 2006.



Frances was preceded in death by her brother, Choice Dee Wiegand; mother, Opal Hines; stepfather, Guy Hines; and daughter, Choyce Lynn Todaro.



Frances is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Wilfred R. Ledbetter; daughter, Donna and husband Mickey Page of Albany, Georgia; her twin sons, Wade Ledbetter of Martinez, California, and Wayne and wife Cindy Ledbetter of Lorena, Texas; her five grandchildren, Ryan and wife Shannon Page and their two children Nicole and Kaci, Lindsey and husband Josh Borsellino, Bret and wife Colleen Page, Cody Ledbetter, Rachel Ledbetter; and her brother, Irwin Hines.



The family would like to especially thank Dr. Gerald Marroquin and his staff, Hillcrest Hospice, and their numerous loving friends.
