Frances Ledbetter

Frances Ledbetter, 84, of Speegleville, passed away Friday, September 7, 2012. Funeral services will be
1:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 at OakCrest Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Visitation with her family will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 9, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Frances was born December 16, 1927 in Waco to W. B. Thompson and Orpha Dee Parsons Thompson. She married John Ledbetter on the 8th of November 1946. She was a member of Western Heights Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Open Door Sunday School Class. Frances and her husband, John, owned and operated Ledbetter’s Dry Cleaners in Waco for over 29 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Terry Ledbetter.
Frances is survived by her husband, John of Speegleville; grandsons, John Ledbetter II and fiancé, Jimi Kirkpatrick of Waco and Tom Ledbetter and wife, Lyly of Rockwall; her sisters, Willie Faye Ewing and husband, Lamar of Speegleville and Mary Louise Woodliff of Waco; her brother, Sam Thompson and wife, Carolyn of Jacksonville; two great grandchildren, Canyon Ledbetter and Kacie Ledbetter; her daughter-in-law, Twila Ledbetter Grimland; and several nieces and nephews.
