Frances Canuteson Maxwell, 73, of Waco, went to her Heavenly Father on Monday, February 12, 2007.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church of Waco with the Rev. Stephen Ramsdell officiating. Burial will follow in the Crawford Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video honoring her life will be shared during the visitation.
Frances was born December 15, 1933 in McKinney to Claude Tunnell and Virginia Massey Tunnell. She worked at Sears, Syzygy, and at First Methodist Church of Waco. To all who knew and loved her, she could be best described as a caregiver who always gave unselfishly of herself. Her happiest times were being a pastor's wife in Bob's ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 44 years, William J. Canuteson.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Bob Maxwell; sister, Barbara Wilson and husband, John; three children, Carol Wenzel and husband, Don of China Spring, Steve Canuteson and wife, Susi of Waco, and Cheryl Watson and husband, Scott of San Antonio; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren with another great-grandchild due in June.
