Frances Lucille Lowe Mosley passed away Monday, Dec. 21, 2015. Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at St. Mary Catholic Church of the Assumption, 1401 Washington, by Father Joseph F. Geleney. Burial will follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard.
Frances was born July 8, 1930 in Waco, Texas to Franklin C. Lowe and Josephine Christilles. She graduated from Waco High School. Frances worked at James Connally Air Force Base until its closure and was then employed at the Veterans Administration Medical Center until retiring as Administrative Assistant following thirty one years of service.
Following retirement, she worked as office assitant for Dr. W. M. Avent, M.D.
She will be remembered for her love of learning, sense of humor, and vivacious spirit. Frances was a loyal sister, devoted wife, dedicated and supportive mother, and a loving grandmother. Although she always put her family at the top of the list, she was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers. Frances was actively involved with NARFE, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Ladies of Charity, and Caritas. As an alumnus, she kept up with her former classmates from East Junior High School.
Frances is survived by her husband of sixty five years, Mason Lang Mosley Jr.; sister, Aileen Smith and husband Jerome;.daughter, Denise Mosley Stark and her children Elizabeth and Peter Stark; son, Neil Allen Mosley and his wife Judy and their children Nicholas Mosley, Dustin Holub, and Kristin Holub; daughter, Brenda Mosley Drake and her daughter Amanda Kirchoff and husband Ryland and her son Corey Drake; and son, Dean Leslie Mosley and his wife ShaLynna and their daughters Brooke and Emily Mosley. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
