Frances Elizabeth Munn, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday in Waco. Father David Liebham will hold a Prayer Service on Thursday at 1 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, and the family will receive guests afterwards.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Huntsville with a Rosary at 9:50 a.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. by Deacon Robert Elliott. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery.
Frances was born in Yoakum to J.J. and Agnes (Kopecky) Kutac. She married Dan Neill Munn on November 16, 1941 in Yoakum. They later moved to Huntsville where she was a Librarian at Sam Houston State University for 15 years. Frances served as the church organist at St. James Catholic Church in Seguin, and she was the church organist at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Huntsville for over 60 years. After her husband passed away in 2003, she moved to Waco to live with her son and his family. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. Frances was a delightful lady who was faithful to her Lord and to her family. She had a friendly smile, and was always helpful to others. She loved music, and enjoyed sharing her gift with others.
She was preceded in death by her husband; six brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Munn and wife, Ann of Waco; grandsons, Sam and David Munn of Waco; sisters, Mary Ward of New Braunfels and Angeline Walmsley of Galveston; nephew, James Kutac and wife, Kathy of Humble, and their children, Julie and Joshua; brother-in-law, Mac Munn and wife, Marie of Austin; and sister-in-law, Vera Bothager and husband, AJ of Austin, and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
