Mrs. Frances Pauline Ripley, 69, of Elm Mott, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2006, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at the OakCrest Funeral Home with Brother Terry McElrath officiating. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video honoring her life will be shown during the visitation.

Frances was born on July 7, 1936 in DuQuoin, Illinois, to Harrison and Pearlie Mae (Kaufman) Branum. She married Kenneth R. Ripley Sr. on October 20, 1956 in Illinois, and they moved to Waco 34 years ago. She was a member of the Tokio Baptist Church.

She was a past administrator of the Bellmead Nursing Home for five years before retiring. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She liked to write poetry, and was honored that several of her poems were published. She enjoyed camping with her family and watching baseball and wrestling.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Kenneth, in 1999.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth R. Ripley, Jr. and wife, Paula, and Raymond L. Ripley, all of Elm Mott; two daughters, Joyce A. Windham and husband, James of Hewitt, and Carolyn M. Langford and husband, Lowell of Rogers, Arkansas; brother, Joe A. Branum of Illinois; grandchildren, Angela K. Henderson, Bonnie J. Langford, Ralph R. Kruppa, Anthony F. Brown, Theresa L. Langford, Amy Simons, and James W. Brown III, Kimberly Wolske, Kenneth Ripley III, Sandra Robinson, Armando Martinez, Alexandra Martinez, Kirby Ripley, Thalia Turrubiartes, Ramiro Turrubiartes, Melissa Powell, Angela Womack, Jason Windham, Ashley Lindemann, Christopher Ripley, and Justin Ripley; great-grandchildren, Faith Henderson, Dawson Henderson, Addison Thibodaux, Taylor Paxton, Hunter Kruppa, Kaden Kruppa, Grayson Anderson, Alyson Langford, Shawn Brown, Tyler Brown, Bryce Lawson, Taylor Womack, Zoe Windham, Clay Wolske, Maecy Wolske, and Cody Robinson.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The family would especially like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, and her loyal careproviders, Debra Thompson and Paula Ripley, and nurse, Kim Wolske.
