Francisca “Pancha” Bernal, 81, passed away on December 14, 2024 with family by her side. She was born on October 2, 1943 in Galeana, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Eusebio and Guadalupe Bazaldua. She married her life partner in Mexico on March 7, 1959. Francisca moved to Texas in the early 60’s and worked as a part-time caregiver for many years. Her main occupation was a homemaker and the love she poured into her family was immeasurable. After raising her children, she spent lots of time caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time she would crochet, cook and watch many novelas. During the holidays she would spend countless hours preparing the perfect meals for her family making tamales, buneulos, etc.
Francisca is preceded in death by her parents, Eusebio Bazaldua and Guadalupe Sanchez-Bazaldua; son, Alfredo Bernal; and husband, Jose Bernal.
Francisca is survived by her children: daughter, Jessy Coronado and spouse, Teodoro Coronado; daughter, Ana Olvera and spouse, John Olvera; daughter, Yolanda Bernal and spouse, Ron Salas; and son, Jose “Joey” Bernal, II. and partner, Crystal Cruz. Brother, Eusebio Bazaldua and wife, Carmen Bazaldua. Grandchildren: Christina Cook, Cynthia Lyons, Francine Coronado, Briana Olvera, Brittany Olvera, Jacob Rivera, Joaquin Rivera, Constancio J. Bernal, Aviana Bernal and several great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jose Bernal, II., Ron Salas, Jose Solis, Jacob Rivera, Joaquin Rivera, Quincy Cook, Jayden Coronado, and Shane Lyons, Jr.
