Frank "Pancho" Bentura, 58, of Waco, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008 at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis of the Brazos Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Sunday at OakCrest Funeral Home, followed by visitation with his family.
Frank was born in Waco, and served in the Marines during Viet Nam. He married Cristina Vianna June 1, 2002 in Waco. He had a passion for fishing and spending time with grandkids. He was a caring husband, father and grandfather who lived a full life and will be missed by many. He was a member of St. Francis Brazos Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Tovar, and a grandson, JoAngel Roman Bentura.
He is survived by his wife, Cristina; mother, Betty Palacios of Waco; daughters, Angela M. Castro of Waco and Jenna R. Bentura-Ybarra and husband, Abel of Grand Prairie; son, Michael D. Bentura and wife Rita of Waco; step-sons, Paul and Ricardo Carvalho of Brazil; granddaughters, Rebecca J. Bentura, Marissa Garcia, and Mariah S. Bentura; all of Waco; grandsons, Adrian and Abel Ybarra of Grand Prairie, Angel and DeAngelo Bentura, and Gabriel Garcia of Waco; great grandson, Fabian Angelo-Noel Maldonado of Waco; brothers, George Tovar and wife, Rosalinda of Waco, Andrew Tovar and wife, Monica, and Ricky Tovar and wife, Ofelia, all of Waco; sisters, Irene Lopez, Isabell Tovar and husband Robert Garcia, Delores Monzon and husband Jose, and Emma Navarro and husband Chris, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Michael Bentura, Andres Munos, Marissa Garcia, Rebecca Bentura, Chris Tovar, Joe Monzon, Mark Tovar, and Robert Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren: Gabriel Garcia, Fabian Maldonado, Angel Bentura, DeAngelo Bentura, Adrian Ybarra, Abel Ybarra, and Mariah Bentura.
