Waco – Frank S. Sevier, age 90, died Friday, May 13th at Providence Ascension Health.

Frank Sevier is survived by his wife, Englentina Rose; four children, Frank Sevier of San Antonio, TX, Dan Sevier and wife, Debbie of Waxahachie, TX, Elisia Stevens and husband, Les Stevens, and Elaine Perez of San Antonio, TX. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Caritas Sevier, Justin Sevier and wife, Kandice, Christina Sevier and fiancé, Alex Jordon, Rachel Stevens and fiancé, Aaron vom Eigen, Grace Stevens and husband, Chris Campagna, Robert Vasquez, Enrique Sevier, and Christopher Perez. Also, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Santos Sevier from Lubbock, TX.

Frank served 21 years in the United States Navy and is a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War where he earned several medals and awards. National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and four Good Conduct Medals. He also received a Navy Commendation with Combat “V”, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service with two Bronze Stars, Pistol Marksmanship Ribbon, and Expert Rifleman Medal.

Upon his retirement he started a new career as an expert boat repairman. He started the business “Sevier’s Fiberglass Boat Repair.” He repaired boats and any fiberglass products all over Texas. He made this a second retirement after 30 years of a successful business.

Frank was born to parents of Jesus and Anita Sevier in Christoval, TX. He met his wife at a very young age of 14 years old. After 7 years of courtship with a chaperone on every outing, and if one was not available, her mother, Lupe Lara, was right there between them. They were married on July 1st, 1951 in San Angelo, TX and were married for 70 years. The one thing they enjoyed was dancing the night away. It was always known that Frank and Rose were beautiful dancers and were never seen apart.

Frank was a very loving and generous individual and loved and respected everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be held at Oakcrest Funeral Home on Sunday, May 22nd at 6:00pm with Rosary recited at 7:00pm. A Catholic Mass will be celebrated at St. Louis Catholic Church on Monday, May 23rd at 10:30am with a burial immediately following at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.
