Frankie Wyvonne Carson, age 95, of Waco, passed away on July 30, 2024.
Visitation is scheduled for 6:00-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 6 at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 7, at Western Heights Baptist Church, 6301 Bosque Blvd. with Brother Kip Osborne officiating. Graveside service to follow at 1:00 P.M. at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Waco.
Frankie was born on July 16, 1929 in Lometa, Texas to Frank and Edith Green. She graduated from Lometa High School in 1947. Afterward, she attended nursing school at Providence Hospital in Waco. Frankie enjoyed gardening and needle work. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. She also loved her church family. One of her favorite activities was helping to pack the church’s Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts. She also enjoyed helping with Vacation Bible School.
Frankie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth Green and Robert Green; and son, Robert Mark Carson.
Survivors include her sister, Martha Green of Lampasas; daughters, Carol (Melvin) and Susan; grandsons, J.T. Koon and Matthew Bowlin; grand-daughter, Courtney Bowlin; and great-granddaughter, Avery Garcia.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and doctors at the Hillcrest Senior Care Clinic and the staff at Providence Village for their care of Frankie.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross and Western Heights’ Operation Christmas Child Fund.
