Frankie Dorsey Lacina, 65, of Waco, passed away Monday, December 12, 2011. Memorial Service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Cecil McDowell and Rev. Irenka Vlajnic officiating. Visitation with his family will be held an hour before the service.
Frankie was born in Marlin to Frank and Mary Doris (Neal) Lacina on July 28, 1946. He graduated from Chilton High School where he was an avid sports fan, playing tennis, basketball, and football.
Frankie was active in the Waco chapter of football officials and served as a referee for seven and a half years for local and surrounding junior and high school teams. Frankie was a cattle buyer for Thigpen Cattle Co. for 38 years.
He loved having fun with his family and many friends, and his laugh, smile, and positive attitude will be greatly missed.
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Janie Lopez
He is survived by his wife, Penny Lacina; sons, Jeff Lacina and wife Pam of Weimar, and Bryan Lacina and wife, Rachel of Crawford; five grandsons; two granddaughters; a great-grandchild; and the mother of his children, Carla Doles of Chilton.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Providence Hospice, and to all of the loving friends and caregivers who knew Frankie was a "hoot" to care for, especially his best bud, Robert Warren, and his favorite caregiver, Tena (Tim) Klucka.
