Frankie Mills, 72, of Waco, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. Service will be 12 noon, Friday, March 7, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Mills Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Frankie Jo (Logan) Mills, was born March 11, 1941 to Albert and Mandy Pearl Logan in Seminary, Mississippi. She attended Seminary Grade School and High School, where she was a star basketball player and a member of the 4-H club where she excelled in cooking. She married the love of her life, Wiley Mills, March 24, 1979, whom she loved dearly. Frankie worked and later retired as manager of a local convenience store. She enjoyed various hobbies that included gardening, fishing, sewing, puzzle solving, winning Scrabble games, collecting as many cookbooks as she could, and spending time in the yard tending to her many rose gardens. Cooking and reading were Frankie’s all-time favorite things to do. She always loved spending time with her grandsons, often taking Jimmy and Cameron out on the town shopping. She will always hold special place in her heart for her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, William, Clarence, Ralph, John B. and Albert Jr. Logan; 3 sisters, Ann Cornell, Lena McGee, and Elizabeth Strickland.
She is survived by her son, William Foulds of Amarillo, TX; her daughters, Lynnette Jones, of Waco, TX, Annette Kline, of Seattle, WA, Carol Dansby, of Waco, TX, Connie Dansby, of Brentwood, TN, Caren Timmons, of Seabrook, TX, and Cherrie Mitchel, of Houston, TX; niece, Shelia Warren, of Merton, MS; grandchildren, James and Cameron Jones; great-grand children, Aurora and Elias Jones.
