Fred O. Grisham, 48, of Waco, passed away Friday morning, April 21, 2006, at St. Catherine's Center in Waco. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, at the Parkview Baptist Church, 1100 East Lake Shore Drive, with Pastor John Collier officiating, assisted by Rev. Steve Adams.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 23, at the OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial video honoring his life will be shown continuously during the visitation.
Fred was born September 2, 1957 in Waco to Odell and Imogene (Harrell) Grisham, and has lived here all of his life. He was married October 15, 1991 in Waco to Paula Snider Grisham. He worked in Maintenance for Jewell Concrete. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved aunt, Myrtice Cowan
He is survived by his wife, Paula; daughter, Denise Vasquez and husband, Jason of Carrollton; sons, Jarred Grisham and wife, Stacey of Carrollton, and Kristopher Grisham; grandsons, Jordan Vasquez, Ryan Vasquez, and Jaden Grisham, all of Carrollton; brothers, Walter Grisham and wife, Karla of Waco and Robert Grisham and wife, Paula Ruth of Oklahoma; sisters, Vickye White and husband, Jesse and Peggy Grisham, all of Waco; mother and father-in-law, Harold and Bobbie Funderburk of Bremond; sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Kenneth Martin of Bremond, and many nieces and nephews, especially Nathan Watson of Waco whom Fred helped raise to adulthood.
Honorary pallbearers will be his closest friends, Larry Reed, Jerry Reed, Dave Campbell, Rick Rainer, Mike Lofton, Luke Foit, Mike Smith, Mike Butler, and Wes Warner.
