Gabriela Pecina

Gabriela "Bobbie" Pecina 79, passed away Monday, December 8, 2008. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at St. Francis Catholic Church, with Father Roman Bugos as celebrant. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Oakcrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco.

Gabriela was born March 18, 1929 in Stranger, Texas to Cipriano and Matilda Ortiz Castillo.

She was a homemaker and member of St. Francis Church.

She was preceded in death by three infant sons; her husband, Teodulo Pecina; her parents; one grandson; one great-grandson and her beloved daughter-in-law, Sheila.

Survivors include her daughters; Mary Pecina and husband, Albert, Delores Martinez and husband, Juan, Ramona Chavez and husband, Amancio, Clara Lopez and husband, Jose, Rebecca Tucker and husband, Ken and Sylvia Pecina all of Waco; sons, Jose Manuel Castro of Euless, Ben Pecina and wife, Tina, Sammy Pecina and wife Maria of Boston, Mass., Mike Castillo and partner, Becky Williams, David Pecina and wife, Olivia of Waco; Nine stepchildren and their families; forty two grandchildren; sixty three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Anthony Hernandez, Fernando Pecina, Lupe Lopez, Joey Pecina, Servando Pecina and Michael Castro.
