Gabby Zarecor, 49, of Waco, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 in a tragic automobile accident.
Services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, January 29 at the OakCrest Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. prior to the service.
Gabby was born on March 5, 1959 in Nurnberg, Germany. She was raised and lived in Waco most of her life. She was a loving wife, mother and a dedicated employee at Brookshire Brothers grocery store in Lorena. Previously, she worked for many years at Albertson's in Waco until the store closed.
Gabby is survived by her husband, Ron Zarecor of Waco; son, Brandon Zarecor of Tyler; parents, Josephine and David P. Henderson of Waco; brothers, David Clay Henderson of Waco, and Patrick Scott Henderson of Waco; grandmothers, Anna Marie Hannig of Nurnberg, Germany, and Edna E. Anderson; mother-in law, Undin Zarecor; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, a special memorial fund in Gabby's honor has been set up at ExtraCo Bank in Lorena. The "Gabby Zarecor Fund" will be used to help one of Gabby's dear friends, Rosie, who has terminal cancer. The family greatly appreciates your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Gabby will be forever loved and missed dearly.
