George January

George T. (Junior) January, 46, passed away New Years Day after a brave battle against cancer.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at OakCrest Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Moshinskie officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4, at OakCrest Funeral Home.

Junior was born in Waco, and at the age of 15, he followed his father in becoming a barber for 31 years. He worked at University Barber Shop where he was especially known for his stylish layer cuts. He enjoyed his family, fishing, and auto racing.

He was preceded in death by his father, George, in 2009.

Junior leaves his wife of eight years, Barbara January; sons, Johnny January, David Schwarck; daughters, Rachael Castro, Dixie January, Cassidy George, Sandy January, Dianna Schwarck, Makayla Cullens January; former wife, Patricia; 13 grandchildren; brother, Donald January Sr.; and mother, Maryann January.

Pallbearers are Gene Reinhardt, Matt Driskell, Michael George, Darrell Cullens, Tom Owen, Valdemar Munez.
