Gerald Lambert, 76, of Waco, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 26, 2004. Services will be at 12 noon Thursday, July 1, 2004 at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. A memorial video of his life will be shown during visitation.
Gerald was born October 3, 1927 to Nada and Drayton Lambert. He attended school at LaVega. He began work at Katy Railroad as an apprentice machinist for four years, then as a machinist until 1958 when he went to work for General Tire until his retirement. He married Helen Lambert on June 27, 1951 in Waco. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, camping with his family, and Dallas Cowboys football. His most joyous moments were spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Adair Lambert.
He is survived by his children, Paula Wright and husband, David, Cheri Lambert, Jeff Lambert and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Joshua Gradel, Kenneth, Ethan and Luke Lambert; and great-grandchildren, Jordan and Tyler Lee Brown; sister, Tommy Daily; brother, Conrad Lambert and wife, Mary; sisters-in-law, Sandra Weakley, Mary Lee Adair, and Doreen Lambert.
