Gerald Ray Lyday, 66, of Woodway, passed away Saturday night, July 26, 2003, at 9:00 p.m. from a heart attack.
SERVICES
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco with Jane Lovett officiating.
VISITATION
Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque. A memorial videotape of his life will be shown during the visitation.
DEVOTED TO HIS FAMILY
Gerald was a loving husband and a man devoted to his family. He was a workaholic with a strong desire to be useful. This gave him the ability to spend his life doing a variety of things.
During his lifetime he enjoyed working as an aeronautical engineer. One of his greatest pleasures was taking care of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Larry, and his father, Arthur.
HIS SURVIVORS
He is survived by Fran, his devoted wife of 46 years; Les and Kevin, his sons; Alma, his mother; Sherry, Larry's wife; Stacey, Lisa, Terry, and Wendy, his adoring grandchildren; Brad Wright, Les' partner; Ruth and Jack England, Fran's parents, and Gary England, Fran's brother. He is also survived by Lisa's daughter Lexi and Lexi's father Neal Whiteside, Terry's daughter Lilly and her mother Lindsey Necker, and Wendy's daughter Aiden and her husband Bryan Cox.
