Geraldine, "Gerry," was born August 18, 1925 in West Columbia, Texas. She later moved to Baytown, Texas where she graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1944. She met Arthur Foster that same year, and they married on December 15 in Cedar Bayou, Texas. Gerry was a war bride and remained at home while her husband served in the United States Navy.
Gerry was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a loving, caring person who always thought of others first. She dedicated her whole life to, and was fulfilled by, serving and taking care of her family.
She loved sports, and taught her grandchildren how to dribble a basketball and how to swing a baseball bat. She loved the Texas Longhorns, and rarely missed watching their games on TV.
She and Arthur made many friends at Lakeshore Baptist Church where they worked for several years. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. She was an encourager who always had a kind word to share.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arthur; grandsons, Benjamin Rapaglia and Michael James Bugh; and identical twin sister, Claudene Maye Fulmer, who left her earthly home last October.
Gerry was one of triplets, and she is survived by one remaining fraternal triplet, Clydene Faye (Sis) Kees and husband, Bill of Lake Jackson, Texas.
Other survivors are daughters, Sherrie Rapaglia and husband, Tony of Fort Worth; Cecile Stacha and husband, Will of Granbury; Terri Bugh and husband, Frank of Woodway; son, James Foster and wife, Diane of Taylor, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Lane and husband, Luke of Newton, MS; Suzanne Thomas and husband, Joe of Olds, Canada; Julie McCaddon and husband, Chris of Astoria, New York; Wes Rapaglia and Karen Rapaglia of Fort Worth; Nicole Stacha and Troy Stacha of Granbury; Ryan Bugh and wife, Julie of Henderson, NV; Heather Kelley and husband, Mike of Dallas; Alesia Bugh, Chris Bugh and Jeremy Bugh of Woodway; Mariah Fowler and husband, Chris of Georgetown, TX; great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Lane, Evan Thomas, and Morgan Fowler; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Barbara Foster of Virginia Beach, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
Gerry's family wishes to thank the staff at Baylor All Saints Cityview hospital in Fort Worth for their care and concern during her last days. A special thank you is given to Carolyn, her nurse, who gave us comfort.
Mom, thank you for your generous, selfless spirit. You were an inspiration to us all and we will miss you so very, very much. Your pain is gone, and we hope you are rejoicing and dancing and doing the things you love in that place of unbounded joy. "Well done, thou good and faithful servant (Matt. 25:21)."
