Gilbert Coluoca-Gonzales, 66, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014. Services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014 at St. Francis Catholic Church with Deacon Jessie Garza officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Rosary will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd.
Gilbert Coluoca-Gonzales was born August 7, 1948 in Marlin, TX. His parents were Yisidro and Angelica Gonzales of Waco. He was a graduate of Waco High School. Gilbert married the love of his life Pauline Martinez, and they enjoyed 48 wonderful years of marriage. He was employed at several different companies and organizations including, Safeway, Appletree, HEB, Time Manufacturing Co., Fire Chief at Lacy Lakeview Fire Dept. and ultimately retired from Minute Maid Co. Gilbert enjoyed going to church, participating in church activities, taking his wife out to eat at his favorite restaurant, spending time with his dog “Little”, and most of all spending time with his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Martha Hernandez, Sara Rosas; and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Pauline Martinez Gonzales; daughter, Monica Gonzales; son, David Gonzales; sisters, Lydia Grames, Angie Garcia, Virginia Duque; aunts, Petra Gonzales, Leonarda Morales; and 7 grandchildren.
The family would like to thank, Providence Hospital, St. Catherine’s Hospice Center, and Lakeshore Village Health Care Center for there love and care.
