Gilbert was born on February 18, 1970, in Waco, TX to Linda Ramos and late father, Gilbert Sauseda, Sr. He attended Moody High School and exceled in football. After high school, he followed in his father’s footsteps and began a career as a HVAC Technician and briefly as a roofer, also under his father’s mentorship. His employment as an HVAC Technician allowed him to work in several Texas cities including Waco, Austin, Temple and Belton.
Gilbert was a simple man who wore his heart on his sleeve and always wanted those around him to be happy. He had a deep connection with his siblings and especially his mother, Linda Ramos. His love of football extended beyond his high school years as he could often be found cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and Baylor Bears, as well as talking sports with anyone who was willing to chat. Perhaps one of Gilbert’s happiest moments came when he gave his to life to God and was saved through Strong Tower Ministries. Those around him could see his love for God and the peace it brought to his life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Sauseda, Sr.
