Glenn Hardin, age 80, a longtime Waco resident, passed away at his home on Friday, August 15, 2003.
A private family graveside service was held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Troy under the direction of OakCrest Funeral Home.
Glenn was born November 18, 1923, in The Grove to Ira and Martha (Clawson) Hardin. He served in the Navy in World War II. He operated North Waco Coins for many years, and was a member of Waco Coin Club and Waco Kiwanis Club. He especially enjoyed working with children on coin projects.
Glenn was a loving and caring father who was always there to support his family whenever needed. He did not need to be asked for help and was always willing to jump in and volunteer. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
His survivors include his wife, Jeanette of Waco; daughter, Martha Hardin of Waco; son, Glenn M. Hardin and wife Dot of Mexia; step-son, Doug Smith and wife Libby of Austin;; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family thanks Hillcrest Hospice, his faithful friend Jim Pledger, and everyone who called or sent a card during his illness.
