Glenn Wilton Lothlen, 84, of Woodway, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016, at Providence Medical Center. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 20, at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Alec Ylitalo officiating. Entombment will follow at the Mausoleum. Visitation with his family will begin at 12 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
Glenn was born August 7, 1931, in Waco, to Robert Emmit Lothlen and Vonnie Lee Sewell Lothlen. He graduated from Waco High School, and married Patsy Lou Boyd on March 10, 1955.
Glenn served his country in the Texas National Guard and in the US Navy during the Korean War. He also worked for the Waco Police Department for 34 years in patrol, criminal investigations, as well as coordinating with the Secret Service detail when Presidents would visit. Glenn was also a member of Richfield Christian Church.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; and beloved wife of 57 years, Patsy in 2012.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Lothlen and wife, Becky; two daughters, Lisa Messer; and Laura Geisler; grandchildren, Holly McHargue, Michael Lothlen, Paula Geisler, Keith Geisler and fiancé, Heatherann and Kendall Messer; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother, Billy Lothlen; brother-in-law, Jake Blankinship; and Leonard Messer and Tammy Culp who were very special to him.
The family would like to thank Dr. Javier Sanchez, Dr. John Speckmiear, Debbie McCoy, and the many nurses at the Cardiac Rehab, CHF Clinic and ICD Clinic for their kindness and care provided.
